What to do

Additional information

A pre-order can be canceled for various reasons, including if:

  • It was canceled manually by the user who placed it.
  • You set up the pre-order to use Nintendo eShop funds but there were not enough available funds at the time of payment (7 days prior to the game’s release).
  • You set up the pre-order to use a credit card or PayPal account, but payment could not be processed because the credit limit had been reached or the card has expired.
  • You set up the pre-order to use a Nintendo Switch Game Voucher, but, before payment was collected for the pre-order, you redeemed your vouchers on other games or your Nintendo Switch Online membership expired.
    • When you place a pre-order, a specific Nintendo Switch Game Voucher is not redeemed, reserved, or otherwise associated with the pre-order, so you may have accidentally used all of your vouchers on other games.
    • Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers can only be redeemed on a Nintendo Account with an active Nintendo Switch Online membership that is not a free trial, so your membership may have expired before the voucher could be used.
    • For more information about issues with Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers, please read Unable to Redeem a Nintendo Switch Game Voucher.
  • The Nintendo Account that placed the pre-order has been deleted or is no longer eligible to make purchases.
  • Tax information for the account that placed the pre-order has been deleted.
  • The ESRB ESRB ESRB Classificação Indicativa age rating of the game changed and the user who placed the pre-order is no longer allowed to purchase it due to its age rating.
  • A server error occurred at the time payment tried to process.
