When did the Nintendo DSi Shop close?
The Nintendo DSi Shop shut down in stages over the course of a year:

April 1, 2016: The day it was announced that the Nintendo DSi Shop would close in 2017.

September 30, 2016: The last day to have purchased points in the Nintendo DSi Shop using a credit card or to have redeemed Nintendo DSi Points Cards in the Nintendo DSi Shop.

March 31, 2017: The last day to have purchased software in the Nintendo DSi Shop.
Is there anything I can still do in the Nintendo DSi Shop?
For a limited time you may still redownload any content you purchased to your system. You can also download the Nintendo DSi Transfer Tool, which will allow you to transfer your content to a Nintendo 3DS family system.
Why did the Nintendo DSi Shop close?
Among other things, doing so allows us to focus our resources on current and upcoming products and services.
When will all Nintendo DSi Shop services (including the ability to redownload and transfer) be terminated?
The ability to redownload purchased content or transfer content to a Nintendo 3DS family system will continue after the Nintendo DSi Shop closure for an as-yet-unspecified amount of time. If you are thinking of transferring your DSiWare content to a Nintendo 3DS family system, we encourage you to do so at your earliest convenience while the service is still available.

Can I still purchase Nintendo DSiWare?
No. Now that the Nintendo DSi Shop has closed, this is no longer possible; however, most DSiWare is available to purchase through the Nintendo eShop on Nintendo 3DS family systems.
Can I still play the DSiWare I've purchased?
Yes, as long as you have downloaded the software to your device. You can also transfer your Nintendo DSi content to a Nintendo 3DS family system and continue playing it through the Nintendo eShop.
How long can I continue to redownload DSiWare that I've purchased?
The ability to redownload purchased content to your Nintendo DSi or Nintendo DSi XL system will continue after the Nintendo DSi Shop closure for an as-yet-unspecified amount of time.

If you transfer your content to a newer system in the Nintendo 3DS family, you can continue to access and redownload it through the Nintendo eShop on that system.
Can I transfer DSiWare to a Nintendo 3DS family system?
Yes. For a limited time you can still download the Nintendo DSi Transfer Tool, which allows you to transfer your Nintendo DSi Shop content to a Nintendo 3DS family system.
Can I back up my Nintendo DSi Shop content?
The only way to maintain your content will be either to download it to your Nintendo DSi system or transfer it to a Nintendo 3DS family system.

What do I do with the Nintendo DSi Points I haven't spent?
Nintendo DSi Points cannot be used now that the Nintendo DSi Shop has closed, nor can they be transferred to a Nintendo eShop account.
Can I get my unused Nintendo DSi Points refunded?
Refunds of Nintendo DSi Points are not available. Any remaining points should have been used before the Nintendo DSi Shop closed on March 31, 2017.
Can I still redeem an unused Nintendo DSi Points Card?
Yes, but only in the Wii Shop on either a Wii or Wii U console (in Wii mode).
Can I use my Nintendo DSi Points to fund my Nintendo eShop account?
No. The ability to transfer Nintendo DSi Points to a Nintendo eShop account is not available. If you transfer your content to a Nintendo 3DS family system, any unused points will remain on the Nintendo DSi family system.
