Which payment plans are available?

When you select Klarna as your payment method at checkout, choose the payment option that works best for you.

  • Pay later: Order now and pay 30 days after the order ships (not available in Canada).
  • Pay over time: Pay for your order in installments. You make the first payment when your order ships.
    • The Pay in 4 option splits your purchase into four interest-free installments, every two weeks.
    • The Monthly option spreads the cost over a longer period and includes interest. Visit Klarna for information on interest rates and payment terms.

Who can use Klarna?

To use Klarna, you must:

  • Be a resident of the United States, its territories, or Canada
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Have a valid debit card, credit card, and/or bank account
  • Be able to receive text messages

When can I use Klarna?

Use Klarna to purchase physical items from Nintendo Store. Klarna is not available if your order includes the following:

  • Digital items
  • Pre-purchase items
  • Shipping or billing addresses with APO, FPO, or DPO boxes
  • Guest checkout

Klarna is also not available to customers in certain US states or if the total order price falls outside minimum and maximum price requirements, after applying any Nintendo Account funds, shipping, and taxes.

How do returns work?

To return your order for a refund, you must initiate the return directly with Nintendo. Go to Nintendo Store physical product return policy or contact us. If you select Report Return on your Klarna account, this will only pause your payments until Nintendo receives and processes your return.

When Nintendo receives your returned physical item and informs Klarna that we received your item(s) back, Klarna refunds your payment directly to you. You can choose to receive the funds back to your original payment method or as credit to your Klarna account.

Klarna refunds are processed by Klarna. View your payment plan for more details or contact Klarna directly for support or information about refund times. For more details about how full refunds, partial refunds, and refunds for orders canceled before shipping work, visit Klarna’s customer service page.

When will I be charged?

If you choose Pay over time, you'll make the first payment when your order ships, then make your remaining payments according to the payment schedule.

If you choose Pay later, you have 30 days from when your order ships to pay.

Does Klarna charge interest?

When you choose Pay later or Pay in 4, Klarna does not charge interest. However, a late fee may apply if payments are missed. For more information, please visit https://www.klarna.com/us/help/payments/what-happens-if-i-can-t-pay-on-time/.
