How to connect Nintendo Switch to a wireless home network
- If possible, connect each console to different networks, then try again.
- For example, if you have a home wireless network and also have access to a mobile hotspot, connect one console to your home network and the other to your mobile hotspot.
- Wait for at least 10 minutes before trying again.
- Check if other local communication is working with your consoles, such as:
- If these do not work, try the following:
- Moving any metal objects or electronic devices away from their console and wireless router. Items such as filing cabinets, speakers, power strips, glass, or cordless phones may interfere with wireless signals.
- Connecting to a different network, such as a friend's or family's home network.
- Determining which system is defective. Try to link each of the 2 consoles to a third console. If 1 (or both) of these has trouble, that console is causing the issue.
Situation not resolved
If you identify the defective console while attempting to link to a third system, the console will need to be serviced. If both are unable to link to the third console, set up a separate service for both.
