How to Connect a Nintendo Switch Console to the Internet Using a Wireless Network

Complete these steps

1. Place the Nintendo Switch within 10 feet of the wireless router so there will be a strong wireless signal.
2. Select System Settings from the HOME Menu on the Nintendo Switch console.
3. Select Internet, and then Internet SettingsConfiguración de internetParamètres InternetConfigurações de internet. It will automatically search for nearby Wi-Fi signals.
4. Select the appropriate network name (SSID) from the list.
   • The network's name isn't on the list

     If you are unable to find your network's name, stand closer to the wireless router and press the Y Button to search again.

     If you are still unable to find your network, this may indicate an issue with the wireless network environment.

   • The network's name is grayed out

     If the network name is grayed out, this indicates the wireless security type being used is not supported by the Nintendo Switch console.

     The Nintendo Switch console supports the following:

     • Wireless Frequencies: 2.4 GHz, 5 Ghz
     • Wireless Modes: 802.11b, 802.11g, 802.11n, 802.11ac
     • Wireless Security Types: WEP, WPA-PSK(AES), WPA2-PSK (AES)

5. Use the onscreen keyboard to enter the network's wireless password, if one is required.
6. The Nintendo Switch will test the Internet connection. Once the test is complete, select OK to complete the process.
