Unable to Pair a New Bluetooth Audio Device to Nintendo Switch

What to do

1. Update your console to the latest system version.
   • How to check for the latest system update
     1. Select System Settings on the HOME Menu.
     2. Scroll down to the bottom of the System Settings menu and select System.
     3. Select System Update to start the system update process.
        • The system will check to see if an update is available.

2. Restart the console.
   • How to restart a Nintendo Switch console
     1. Press and hold the POWER Button for at least three seconds.
     2. Select Power OptionsOpciones de apagadoOptions d'alimentationOpções de desligar.
     3. Select Restart.
3. Power off your Bluetooth audio device and then power it on again. Ensure it is charged and in a searchable state or pairing mode.
   • Follow the instructions for your specific Bluetooth audio device to enable it to be paired.
4. Make sure you are not using local wireless features on the Nintendo Switch console, such as local multiplayer across multiple consoles.
   • Bluetooth audio cannot be used at the same time as local wireless.
5. Make sure no more than two wireless controllers are paired to the console.
   • Only up to two wireless controllers can be paired while using a Bluetooth audio device.
6. Move your Bluetooth audio device closer to your console and ensure there is no metal or electronic equipment between the audio device and the console.
7. Return to the Bluetooth AudioAudio a través de BluetoothAppareils BluetoothÁudio Bluetooth settings in System Settings and select Pair to search for Bluetooth audio devices in range again. Select your Bluetooth audio device’s name when it is found.
8. Try to pair a different Bluetooth audio device.
   • If another Bluetooth audio device pairs successfully, then there may be an issue with the original device.
