How to Add or Change Saved Credit Card Information on a Nintendo Account

Steps for how to save new credit card information or change existing credit card information on a Nintendo Account.
Before you start
You will need:
- A Nintendo Switch 2 console, a Nintendo Switch console, or a device that can access the internet
- An Internet connection
- Valid credit card information
Complete these steps
Do you want to add/change saved credit card information through the Nintendo eShop on your console or online through the Nintendo website?

Nintendo Switch 2 eShop
- Select Nintendo eShop on the HOME Menu to launch the Nintendo Switch 2 eShop.
- Select the Nintendo Account you wish to save or change credit card information on.
- A Nintendo Account can only store information for one credit card at a time.
- The same credit card can be stored on multiple Nintendo Accounts.
- Note: Users under 18 are not able to save credit card information.
- If you have enabled user verification, you may be prompted to confirm your identity by re-entering your password or entering a

- With the

- Sign in to your Nintendo Account.
- A message will appear indicating that your

- Note that this will not turn off user verification, but instead switch it to requiring you to sign in to your Nintendo Account. You can change back to the PIN Contraseña Code secret PIN verification method and create a new PIN Contraseña Code secret PIN in your User Settings.

Forgot password
- Select your user icon in the upper-right corner to access your Account Information.
- Select Settings from the menu on the left.
- Under "Credit Card Information", select Set to save a new credit card or select Change if a credit card has already been saved and you want to update the information.
- When you change your saved credit card information, it will also change the credit card used for any active auto-renewal memberships (such as Nintendo Switch Online). Select Change again if prompted to proceed.
- Enter the new or updated credit card information.
- Select Save.
- You can delete your stored credit card information at any time after it has been saved.

- Under Credit Card, select Save to save a new credit card or select Change if a credit card has already been saved and you want to update the information.

- Enter the new or updated credit card information.
- Select Save.
- You can delete your stored credit card information at any time after it has been saved.
- Visit the Shop Menu website and sign in to your Nintendo Account.
Additional information
- You can add or change saved credit card information on the Nintendo eShop on your console or through the Shop menu settings on the Nintendo Account website. Any changes to saved credit card information will apply to both the Nintendo eShop and website settings.
- We may receive updated information from your issuing bank or applicable payment service provider about the credit card that you stored in your Nintendo Account. This means we may update the saved credit card's number and expiration date if it is replaced or it expired. This helps ensure that your subscriptions automatically renew and your purchases complete successfully, even if your credit card information changes.
