Buttons on Poké Ball Plus Are Not Responding Correctly

What to do

1. Ensure your console has the latest system update. If your console is already up to date, restart it.

     1. Select System Settings on the HOME Menu.
     2. Scroll down to the bottom of the System Settings menu and select System.
     3. Select System Update to start the system update process.
        • The system will check to see if an update is available.

     1. Press and hold the POWER Button for at least three seconds.

2. Ensure you are attempting to use the Poké Ball Plus within a supported game on Nintendo Switch 2 or Nintendo Switch.
3. If the issue persists, try the following:
   • With the Poké Ball Plus paired to the console, perform a button test for Poké Ball Plus: From the HOME Menu go to System Settings, then Controllers and Sensors, then Test Input Devices, and finally Test Controller Buttons.
   • Reset the Poké Ball Plus.
     • If necessary, pair the Poké Ball Plus to the console again.
   • Verify that the Poké Ball Plus has sufficient battery charge.
     • If the battery charge is low, allow the Poké Ball Plus to charge before attempting to use it again.
   • Check for any software updates for your supported games. If there are no available updates, close and reopen the software from the HOME Menu.

       2. From the HOME Menu, select the icon for the software you wish to update without starting the game or application.
       3. Press the + Button or – Button on your controller. The current version number will display under the software title.
       4. Select Software Update followed by Via the Internet.
