How to Set or Change the Pass-enabled Console for a Nintendo Account
Follow these steps to register a console as the pass-enabled console for your Nintendo Account.
Complete these steps
You can register one pass-enabled console per Nintendo Account. If you already have a pass-enabled console registered, follow the steps to change the pass-enabled console.

Registering the pass-enabled console for a Nintendo Account
- Link your Nintendo Account on the Nintendo Switch 2 or Nintendo Switch console you want to register as your pass-enabled console.

How to create and link a new Nintendo Account to Nintendo Switch 2 or Nintendo Switch
- Select System Settings on the HOME Menu.
- Scroll down to highlight UsersUsuariosUtilisateursUsuários, then select the appropriate user account to access the Profile Settings.
- Select Sign in to a Nintendo Account or Link Nintendo Account.
- Select Create a new account.
- Optional: You have the option to select Send account-creation instructions via email to receive steps to link your Nintendo Account with a confirmation code. You can learn more about adding an account with a confirmation code or continue with these steps.
- Use a smart device to scan the QR code to visit the Nintendo Account website. If you do not have a smart device, the link is https://accounts.nintendo.com/.
- Create your Nintendo Account on the Nintendo Account website.
- Return to your Nintendo Switch console and Sign in to your Nintendo Account. You may need to press the B button to return to the sign-in page.
- If you have forgotten your Nintendo Account sign-in information, you can recover or reset your sign-in information.
- Click OK on the confirmation message to return to the system settings.

How to link an existing Nintendo Account to Nintendo Switch 2 or Nintendo Switch
- Select System Settings on the HOME Menu.
- Scroll down to highlight UsersUsuariosUtilisateursUsuários, then select the user you want to link to to access the Profile Settings.
- Select Sign in to a Nintendo Account or Link Nintendo Account.
- Sign in to your Nintendo Account.
- If you've forgotten your Nintendo Account sign-in information, you can recover or reset your sign-in information.
- Select Link to link your Nintendo Account to the user account on the console.
- Once the Nintendo Account is linked, it cannot be unlinked or changed for that user account.
- Click OK on the confirmation message to return to the system settings.

- Select Nintendo eShop on the HOME Menu.
- Select the user your Nintendo Account is linked to. When the Nintendo eShop launches, this console will be registered as your pass-enabled console.
- Link your Nintendo Account on the Nintendo Switch 2 or Nintendo Switch console you want to register as your pass-enabled console.

Changing the pass-enabled console for your Nintendo Account
- Deregister the current pass-enabled console.

How to deregister the pass-enabled console on Nintendo Switch 2
The following steps must be done on your current pass-enabled console.
- Select Nintendo eShop on the HOME Menu to launch the Nintendo eShop.
- Select the user that is linked to your Nintendo Account.
- Select the picture of your icon in the upper-right corner to access your Account Information.
- Select Settings.
- Scroll down to the Pass-enabled Console section.
- Select Deregister.
- If prompted, enter your Nintendo Account password to confirm.
- Repeat these steps for any additional Nintendo Accounts that you wish to deregister from this console.
- The next time you connect to the Nintendo eShop, the console you use to connect will automatically be registered as your pass-enabled console.

How to deregister the pass-enabled console on Nintendo Switch
The following steps must be done on your current pass-enabled console.
- Select Nintendo eShop on the HOME Menu to launch the Nintendo eShop.
- Select the user that is linked to your Nintendo Account.

- Select Deregister twice to confirm. If your account is set to require a password, you will also need to enter your Nintendo Account password to confirm.
- Repeat these steps for any additional Nintendo Accounts that you wish to deregister from this console.
- The next time you connect to the Nintendo eShop, the console you use to connect will automatically be registered as your pass-enabled console.

Don’t have access to current pass-enabled console
Note: Deregistering a pass-enabled console through the Shop Menu website can only be done once per year. If you have already deregistered through the website in the past year, and you do not have the pass-enabled console available, please contact us for support.
- Using a web browser, visit the Shop Menu (ec.nintendo.com/my) website.
- Sign in to the Nintendo Account with the pass-enabled console you wish to deregister.
- Scroll down and select Deregister Pass-enabled Console.
- Enter your Nintendo Account password.
- Select Deregister twice to confirm.
- The next time you connect to the Nintendo eShop, the console you use to connect will automatically be registered as your pass-enabled console.

- On the console that will be the new pass-enabled console, link your Nintendo Account to a new or existing user account, if you haven't already.

How to link an existing Nintendo Account to Nintendo Switch 2 or Nintendo Switch
- Use your Nintendo Account to access the Nintendo eShop on the console that you want to be the pass-enabled console. The console will automatically be registered as the pass-enabled console for your Nintendo Account.
- To confirm it's updated, check the Pass-enabled Console setting in your Nintendo eShop Account Information.
- If you no longer have access to the previous console (traded in, stolen, etc.), we recommend that you change your Nintendo Account password to make sure your account isn't accessible on the previous console.
- Deregister the current pass-enabled console.
Additional information
- Anyone that uses the pass-enabled console for your Nintendo Account can access certain of your passes or subscriptions, such as Just Dance+. On consoles that are not your pass-enabled console, only you can access these passes or subscriptions.
