How to Install a Wii LAN Adapter

In this article, you'll learn how to install the Wii LAN adapter.
Note: The Wii mini does not support online functionality. The Wii LAN adapter will not function even if it is connected to the Wii mini's USB port.
Complete these steps
- With your console turned off, insert the Wii LAN Adapter into the USB port on the back of your console.
- Connect one end of an Ethernet cable to the Wii LAN adapter and connect the other end to a network port on your modem or wired router.
When connecting directly to a modem
- Remove any other devices that are currently connected to your modem, including any devices connected with a USB cable.
- Power cycle your modem by unplugging the power from your modem for 30 seconds and then plugging the power back in.
