Nintendo 3DS
In this article, you'll learn how to link an existing Nintendo Network ID to a system in the Nintendo 3DS family.
Note: If you have not yet created a Nintendo Network ID, and need help creating a new one, follow the steps here.
Each Nintendo Network ID can be associated to one Wii U console and one Nintendo 3DS family system.
- The Nintendo 3DS can have only one active Nintendo Network ID registered to it at one time. If a previous account exists on the system, it will need to be removed before a new one can be created or linked.
- A Nintendo Network ID can be created on a Wii U and then linked to a Nintendo 3DS family system, or vice versa.
- In the United States and Canada, it is not possible to create a Nintendo Network ID for a child using a Wii U or Nintendo 3DS family system. Please contact Nintendo Customer Support by calling 1-800-255-3700 if you wish to create a Nintendo Network ID for your child.
- Once a Nintendo Network ID has been associated to a Nintendo 3DS family system, it can only be moved to a different Nintendo 3DS family system through the System Transfer process.
