- Confirm the correct wireless password was entered into the console's connection settings. Ensure you are entering the password exactly as it appears, including any unique capitalization or symbols.

- Go to Start and enter in the search box "view network connections", then press Enter.
- In the Network Connections window, right-click the network name, and select Status.
- Click the Wireless Properties button.
- Click the Security tab, and then click the Show characters check box.
- The password for the wireless network is displayed in the Network security key field.

- Select Applications on the left, and then Utilities.
- Select Keychain Access.
- On the left, ensure login is selected under Keychains and Passwords is selected under Category.
- Find the name of your wireless network, and ensure the "Kind" field is labeled "Airport network password," and then double-click this listing.
- Click on the checkbox next to "Show Password" and enter your computer's Adminstrator password and click Allow.
- Hold the Option key on your keyboard, and then select the Wi-Fi icon located on the menu bar.
- The currently connected network's information will be displayed as light gray text, and the security type will be listed next to "Security."
- If the gray text is not visible, hover over your network with your mouse to display this information.

- Move the console within 10 to 15 feet of the wireless router to improve the signal strength during troubleshooting.
- If you haven't already, it may be helpful to remove the console from the dock while troubleshooting, and then return the console when troubleshooting is complete.
- If you have any filing cabinets, speakers, power strips, glass, or cordless phones, next to your system or wireless router, move them away.
- Connect to a different wireless band if your router supports both the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz frequency bands.
