Note
- Certain routers support the "Wi-Fi Protected Setup" function, which allows you to quickly and easily configure the wireless devices you wish to connect to your router.
- To determine if your router supports this feature, look for the Wi-Fi Protected Setup logo (two arrows). It usually appears on a button at the back or bottom of the router. Alternatively, you may also refer to the instruction manual of your access point for further information.
Complete these steps
- Locate the WPS button on the router to ensure the router supports this feature (you will also need to push this button during a later step).
- If you are unable to find this, refer to the instruction manual of your access point for further information
- From the HOME menu, tap on the System Settings Icon.

- Tap Internet Settings.

- Tap Connection Settings.

- Tap the New Connection option.

- Tap Manual Setup when the prompt asks if you would like help with the Internet connection setup.

- Tap Wi-Fi Protected Setup.
- Tap Push-Button Connection.
- On the wireless access point, press and hold the WPS button until the LED blinks.
- The Nintendo 3DS will now perform a connection test.
- If the connection test fails, select OK to receive an error code and detailed information on why the connection test failed. You can search this error code within Navi.
- If the connection test is successful, select OK to continue.
- If you have not previously updated your Nintendo 3DS console, you may be asked to perform a system update. Select Update to perform the system update, or select Cancel to skip this process.
- We recommend performing the system update as this will ensure you have access to recently released applications and services.
