How to Place the Wii U Console

In this article, you'll learn how to place your Wii U console.
Note: When disconnecting any plugs from the console or wall outlet, first turn the Wii U console off. Then carefully pull by the plug itself rather than the cord.
Complete these steps
- If you are using console stands, install them.
- Place the console on a flat, steady surface.
- Place the console in an area where its intake and exhaust vents have at least 4" (10 cm) of ventilation space.
Important
- Do not store the Wii U console in any location where these vents may become covered or obstructed (carpet, tightly enclosed space).
- Do not store in a humid place, on the floor, or in any location where it may collect dirt, dust, lint, etc.
- Do not place the console on top of other AV equipment.
- Do not place anything directly on top of the Wii U console.
- Connect all cables to the Wii U console, ensuring that you hold plugs straight when inserting them into sockets.
- Ensure the AC adapter plug is completely inserted into the wall outlet.
