Latest update: Ver. 1.2.1 (Released February 3, 2026)

Fixed Issues

  • Fixed an issue where the effect of defensive pressure on opponents’ halfpipe shots was smaller than intended.
  • Fixed various issues to create a smoother gaming experience.

Past updates

  • Ver. 1.2.0 (Released December 1, 2025)

    General Updates

    • Added the chasing game Survival Tag to friend parks, local wireless parks, and LAN parks.
      • Note: To play Survival Tag when in the parks listed above, the player who created the park opens the X Menu, then selects Start Survival Tag on the Players tab.
      • Depending on the wireless environment, there may be times where player positioning does not perfectly match between users. For that reason, there may be cases where, even if it appears to one player as if contact was made, from the other player’s perspective no contact occurred. In order to limit unpleasant experiences in situations like these as much as possible, in basketball games this may be determined as no contact.
      • On the other hand, in Survival Tag, the question of contact is the whole crux of the game and is particularly important to game progression. Therefore, it has been designed such that a tag is considered successful if there was contact from either perspective (the tagging player, or the one who was tagged).
    • Corrected the calculation of Iso Wins on the Game Stats tab under Stats. Previously, it counted the total number of Isos, not just wins.
    • Added Rope Jumps to Other Stats tab under Stats.
    • Changed the target of the Focus Cam when near the sumo ring to the sumo ring itself.
    • Made some adjustments to bots in friend parks, local wireless parks, and LAN parks.
      • Note: We slightly lowered the strength level of the Easy and Standard bots that the player who created the park can add under the Players tab of the X Menu.
    • Added a feature to enable players to delete their own records.
      • On the screen that displays players’ records before starting time trials or shooting contests, simultaneously press and hold the ZL Button, left directional button, and right directional button on the Joy-Con 2 (L) for 10 seconds to delete the record.
      • Once deleted, records cannot be restored.
      • Obtained trophies will remain, even if records are deleted.

    Fixed Issues

    • Fixed a very rare issue where, due to unintended behavior, the displays for level or total distance would reach the upper limit.
    • Fixed a rare issue in Circuit Sprint where players sometimes passed through terrain.
    • Fixed an issue where bunny hops made it possible to accelerate to and maintain speed that exceeded top speed.
      • The intended design is that it is only possible to accelerate beyond the normal top speed when driving down a slope or successfully pulling off a halfpipe or ramp trick. However, unintended behavior occurred, such as players accelerating beyond top speed when landing after rotating, or not decelerating while in midair even if they had exceeded top speed. We fixed this because this issue required players to control their character in unintuitive ways in order to achieve good results.
    • Fixed various issues to create a smoother gaming experience.

Note: Version 1.1.1 for the Drag x Drive Demo (formerly Drag x Drive: Global Jam) was also released.

    General Updates

    • Changed software title from Drag x Drive: Global Jam to Drag x Drive Demo.
    • Changed the software icon that displays in locations such as the HOME Menu.
    • Made it possible to play the tutorial and certain bot games any time.
    • Fixed various issues to create a smoother gaming experience.
  • Ver. 1.1.0 (Released September 25, 2025)

    General Updates

    • It’s now possible to play local wireless games.
      • Select Local wireless park from the Mode tab of the X Menu to play.
    • The game will now display play history.
      • Select Stats from the Help tab of the X Menu to view it.
    • The game will now display player levels, which increase by gaining XP.
      • It displays in the upper right corner of the screen on the X Menu.
      • It is not used in matchmaking for public parks.
    • It is now possible to select either Set as Blue or Blue/Red for Your Team Color.
      • Select Settings on the Help tab of the X Menu, then select Display Options to make this choice.
    • Adjusted certain depictions, including the game-start animations, lighting within parks, and the time the lights are lit up when at top speed.
    • The game will now display version information.
      • Select the Help tab of the X Menu to view it.

    Online

    • It is now possible to join the wait list when the public park or friend park your friend is in is full.
      • You can join the wait list from the list found under Friend park on the Mode tab of the X Menu.
      • If you select your friend when the park that friend is in is full, you will automatically attempt to connect next time a spot opens up in that park.
    • When you are in a public park, selecting public park again will now prioritize selection of another public park.
    • Made adjustments to increase the chances of 3-on-3 games in public parks.
    • Changed the position for the game-start animation for 2-on-2 games in public parks.
    • The game will now display the score when using the spectator camera.
    • Like offline bots, online bots will now pass to players when they raise their hands or use the “Hey” reaction.

    Fixed Issues

    • Fixed an issue where sometimes no record is made under Search for Users You’ve Played With.
    • Fixed an issue where the game would sometimes crash when starting up the game or heading to a park.
    • Fixed an issue where the shot success rate for shots made immediately before landing was based on the position where the shot was made.

The success rate for shots is affected by the distance to the hoop (how close the player is to the hoop) and the player’s orientation towards the hoop (how directly the player is facing the hoop).

In order to make it so that bunny-hop shots while approaching did not become excessively advantageous, the intended design was to calculate shot success rate for distance to the hoop based on the last point of contact with the ground (the jumping off point).

However, just for when the player took a shot immediately before landing, the shot success rate was being calculated based on the position where the shot was made, which was not intended, so we have fixed this.

However, there are no changes to the success rate for orientation towards the hoop.
