How to Update Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour

Follow these steps to update Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour, or review the software's update history.

Note

On July 16, 2025, a new software update for Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour became available for download. Please take a moment to download and install this update while your Nintendo Switch 2 console is connected to the Internet.

Complete these steps

  1. Connect your Nintendo Switch 2 console to the internet.

      1. Place the Nintendo Switch 2 console within 10 feet of the wireless router so there will be a strong wireless signal.

      4. Select the appropriate network name (SSID) from the list.

      6. The connection will be tested. Once the test is complete, select OK.
        • If the connection test fails, an error code and message will appear. Search for our support article on the error code for steps to troubleshoot the connection.

  2. From the HOME Menu, select the icon for the software you wish to update without starting the game or application.
  3. Press the + Button or – Button on your controller. The current version number will display under the software title.
  4. Select Software Update followed by Over the Internet.

Latest update: Ver. 1.0.2 (Released July 16, 2025)
