Video Camera Doesn't Work During GameChat
Nintendo Switch 2
Follow these steps when you are unable to share your video camera feed during GameChat on Nintendo Switch 2.
Note
- Typical USB video cameras should work with Nintendo Switch 2, but compatibility cannot be guaranteed. We recommend using the Nintendo Switch 2 Camera (sold separately) for the optimal experience.
- For users under the age of 16, parental controls must be set up to use GameChat. Through the Nintendo Switch Parental Controls app for smart devices, parents can choose whether to grant permission for a child's use of the camera in each GameChat session, or to disable camera usage entirely.
- If these parental controls are set up for your user, have your parent check which setting they applied.
