Follow these steps to turn the automatic save-data backup and automatic save-data download features on or off on Nintendo Switch 2.
Note
- A Nintendo Switch Online membership is required to utilize the Save Data Cloud service.
- Save data backups for Nintendo Switch software can be shared between Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch consoles using the same Nintendo Account. If you own the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition of a Nintendo Switch game, any Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive features or content would not be made accessible on Nintendo Switch.

Automatic Save-Data Backup
By default, the automatic save-data backup will be enabled from the time you start your Nintendo Switch Online membership.
- From the HOME Menu, select System Settings, then Data ManagementGestión de datosGestion des donnéesGerenciar dados and finally Save Data Cloud.
- Select the desired user, then select Settings.
- Select Automatic Save-Data Backup to turn this feature on or off.

Automatic Save-Data Download
Automatic save-data download must be enabled on each console you wish to use.

- Select the desired user, then select Settings.
- Select Automatic Save-Data Download to turn this feature on or off.
