How to Create, Edit, Delete, or Share a Mii on Nintendo Switch 2
Follow these steps to make a Mii character on Nintendo Switch 2, copy one registered to an amiibo, edit a Mii, or delete a Mii.
Complete these steps
- From the HOME Menu, select System Settings.
- Scroll down the options on the left and select Mii.

Create a Mii from scratch
- Select Create New Mii
, then Start from Scratch.
- Select the style
for your Mii character.
- Use the left control stick or directional buttons to navigate through the different features for your Mii character, such as face, eyebrows, nose, facial hair, etc. Press the A Button to select a feature and pick the option you want. You can use the right control stick to view your Mii from different angles.
- Once you're satisfied, use the on-screen keyboard to enter a nickname for your Mii, then select OK or press the + Button.
- Nicknames can be up to 10 characters long.
- When you are finished creating your Mii, select Done.
- Select Create New Mii

Create a Mii based on a Look-Alike
- Select Create New Mii
, then Choose a Look-Alike.
- Choose an available Mii from the screen.
- To refresh the Look-Alike options, press the Y Button or select Refresh All.
- Select the style for your Mii character, then select OK edit the Mii you selected.
- Use the left control stick or directional buttons to navigate through the different features for your Mii character, such as face, eyebrows, nose, facial hair, etc. Press the A Button to select a feature and pick the option you want. You can use the right control stick to view your Mii from different angles.
- Once you're satisfied, use the on-screen keyboard to enter a nickname for your Mii, then select OK or press the + Button.
- Nicknames can be up to 10 characters long.
- When you are finished editing your Mii, press Done.
- Select Create New Mii

Copy a Mii from an amiibo figure
- Select Create New Mii
, then Copy Mii from amiibo.
- Hold an amiibo to the NFC touchpoint on the right Joy-Con 2.
- Remove the amiibo once the message “Copied Mii” is displayed on the screen.

Error message: There is no Mii registered to this amiibo
Create a new Mii character from scratch or from a look-alike.
Once created, the new Mii character can be registered to the amiibo.

Edit an existing Mii
- Select Mii List. Choose the Mii character you want to edit.
- Select EditEditarModifierEditar.
- Use the left control stick or directional buttons to navigate through the different features for your Mii character, such as face, eyebrows, nose, facial hair, etc. Press the A Button to select a feature and pick the option you want. You can use the right control stick to view your Mii from different angles.
- When you are finished editing your Mii, press Done.

Delete a Mii
- Select Mii List. Choose the Mii character you want to delete.
- Select DeleteBorrarEffacerApagar, and then DeleteBorrarEffacerApagar again.

Save Mii characters using a QR code
Mii characters can be saved as a QR code. By connecting a compatible USB camera (sold separately), such as the Nintendo Switch 2 Camera, these QR codes can be scanned to save the Mii to a Nintendo Switch 2 console.
To save a Mii as a QR code:
- Select QR Code.
- Select Save QR Code.
- Select a Mii to save as a QR code.
- Press the A Button to save the image to your album.
- You can upload the image to the Nintendo Switch App and then save the image or share it directly from the app.
To scan a QR code:
- Connect a compatible USB camera to the Nintendo Switch 2 console. USB-C cameras can be plugged directly into the Nintendo Switch 2 console, while standard USB cameras can be plugged into the Nintendo Switch 2 dock.
- Select QR Code.
- Select Scan QR Code.
- Position the QR code within the camera frame.
- Once the Mii appears, select Save to save the scanned Mii.

Send/Receive Mii characters via local wireless communication
- Select Send/Receive Mii Characters.
- The console will search for other nearby users. Select someone to connect to. That user also must select you on their end.
- Select a Mii and it will be sent to the other user.
- When you're finished sharing Mii characters with each other, press the B Button to end the connection.
Additional information
When creating or editing a Mii, you can change the background music between three tracks or turn it off by selecting Music Settings in the top-left corner.
