HD Rumble Not Working Correctly or Not Working At All on Nintendo Switch 2

Steps for when:
- The HD rumble or controller vibration seems different in intensity between one Joy-Con 2 and another; between two Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controllers, two Nintendo 64 Controllers, or two Nintendo GameCube Controllers; or between one game and another.
- The HD rumble or controller vibration seems rather weak or the controller does not vibrate at all.

- Ensure your console has the latest system update.

- Select the System Settings on the HOME Menu.
- Scroll down through the System Settings menu and select System.
- Select System Update, to start the system update process.
- During the process, the system will first perform a check to determine if a new system update is available.
- If an update is available, the download process will begin automatically.
- Select the System Settings on the HOME Menu.

- Ensure your console has the latest system update installed.
- Select System Settings from the HOME Menu.
- Scroll down to Controllers & Accessories.
- In the Controllers & Accessories options, scroll down and select Update Controllers to begin updating any controllers that are powered on and paired with the console.
- If multiple controllers are paired to the console, the controllers will be updated one controller at a time.
- If the update stops before it can be completed, try this step again.

- Check the battery level on the problematic controller and ensure it is charged.

- Reset the non-working controller by pressing the SYNC Button once (Joy-Con 2, Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller, Nintendo 64 Controller, Nintendo Switch 2 GameCube Controller). Then press any other button to power on the controller again.
- Verify that Controller Vibration is activated.
- The vibration intensity may vary from one game to another and from one controller to another. This is normal and does not constitute an issue with this feature or with the controllers.
- If the controller vibration seems significantly different in intensity between two controllers of the same type, continue using the console for a few weeks and see if it interferes with your gameplay.

If the controller does not vibrate when the controller vibration is activated, or if there is a significant difference in intensity between controllers of the same type that interferes with your gameplay, we are happy to inspect and, if necessary, service the controllers at no charge within the warranty period.
