How to Pair the SEGA Genesis Control Pad

Which system do you want to pair the SEGA Genesis Control Pad to?

• Nintendo Switch 2

  The SEGA Genesis Control Pad can be paired to the Nintendo Switch 2 console in the following ways:

  Button pairing or wireless pairing

  1. From the HOME Menu, select Controllers, then Change Grip/Order.
  2. While on the "Change Grip/Order" screen, press and hold down the SYNC Button for at least one second on the SEGA Genesis Control Pad you wish to pair.

  USB connection pairing (Directly to Nintendo Switch 2)

  Connect the SEGA Genesis Control Pad to the Nintendo Switch 2 using a compatible USB-C cable.

  USB connection pairing (Docked)

  1. Place the Nintendo Switch 2 console in the dock.
  2. Connect the SEGA Genesis Control Pad to the dock with the USB charging cable.
• Nintendo Switch – OLED Model

  The SEGA Genesis Control Pad can be paired to the Nintendo Switch – OLED Model console in the following ways:

  Button pairing or wireless pairing

  1. From the HOME Menu, select Controllers, then Change Grip and Order.
  2. While on the "Change Grip and Order" screen, press and hold down the SYNC Button for at least one second on the SEGA Genesis Control Pad you wish to pair.

  USB connection pairing

  1. Place the Nintendo Switch – OLED Model console in the dock.
  2. Connect the SEGA Genesis Control Pad to the dock with the USB charging cable.
• Nintendo Switch

  The SEGA Genesis Control Pad can be paired to the Nintendo Switch console in the following ways:

  Button pairing or wireless pairing

  1. From the HOME Menu, select Controllers, then Change Grip and Order.

  Important: The SEGA Genesis Control Pad can be used as a wired controller with Nintendo Switch Lite using a licensed accessory, such as the Dual USB PlayStand for Nintendo Switch Lite from HORI.

  The SEGA Genesis Control Pad can be paired to the Nintendo Switch Lite console in the following ways:

  Button pairing or wireless pairing

  1. From the HOME Menu, select Controllers, then Change Grip and Order.
  2. While on the "Change Grip and Order" screen, press and hold down the SYNC Button for at least one second on the SEGA Genesis Control Pad you wish to pair.

  USB connection pairing

  Place Nintendo Switch Lite on the Dual USB PlayStand (or other licensed accessory), then connect to it the SEGA Genesis Control Pad using the USB charging cable.
