Error Code: 2-ALZTA-0005 (including codes 8807, 999, 992, or 10015)

Information to help you when you're unable to access Pokémon HOME on your Nintendo Switch 2 or Nintendo Switch and you receive the error codes 2-ALZTA-0005, 8807, 992, 999, or 10015.

What to do

  • If you see "Error code 8807", delete the save data for Pokémon HOME on your console, then launch it again to see if that resolves the error. This will not affect any Pokémon that you've deposited into Pokémon HOME.
    • How to delete save data on Nintendo Switch
      1. Select System Settings from the HOME Menu.
      2. Scroll down and select Data ManagementGestión de datosGestion des donnéesGerenciar dados, then Delete Save Data.
        • Enter your Parental Controls PIN, if prompted.
      3. Select the game title for which you want to delete the save data.
      4. Select the user whose save data you want to delete, or select Delete All Save Data for this Software to delete the save data for all users.
      5. Select Delete Save Data to confirm.
  • For certain users between May 17, 2022, at 11:00pm PDT to May 26, 2022, at 6:00pm PDT, selecting Save changes and exit from the Boxes menu while linking to a game caused "Error code: 10015".
    • An update for the game was released on May 26, 2022 to resolve this error.
      • How to Update Pokémon HOME
        1. Connect the Nintendo Switch console to the internet.
        2. From the HOME Menu, select the icon for the software you wish to update without starting the game or application.
        3. Press the + Button or – Button on your controller. The current version number will display under the software title.
        4. Select Software Update followed by Via the InternetInternetVia InternetInternet.
    • Users who encountered the "Error code: 10015" error while the issue was present and who were enrolled in the Premium Plan at the time will receive an extension to their Premium Plan subscription.
      • Users who are eligible for the extension but are currently enrolled in the Basic Plan will be given 10 days of Premium Plan service starting from when they next log in.
      • Users who are eligible for the extension and are currently enrolled in the Premium Plan will have 10 days of Premium Plan service added to their plan’s current expiration date. (Your plan’s original expiration date will continue to be displayed. The extension will be applied once the current plan expires.)
      • Users who do not meet the eligibility requirements listed above will not be able to receive an extension. Nintendo and The Pokémon Company International will not be able to respond to individual inquiries regarding this matter, such as whether specific users are eligible or not.
