Battery Does Not Fit into System
The information in this article can help you when the original or replacement battery will not fit into the battery compartment.
The only battery that will fit is a Nintendo DS battery (model no. NTR-003), which came with the Nintendo DS when it was new. If you would like to replace the battery with the proper model, please reference our installation instructions. If you have a replacement battery that does not feature the model no. NTR-003, it is possibly not a licensed product.
What to do
If the battery housing of your Nintendo DS has become damaged in such a way that the battery does not fit, Nintendo is no longer offering service requests for the Nintendo DS, so it's time to replace your system.
