How to Sync the Pokéwalker
Nintendo DSi, Nintendo DS
In this article, you'll learn how to sync the Pokéwalker.
Important: Before using the Pokéwalker accessory, you need to have at least one Pokémon in a PC box in the game. This means you will have to obtain the Pokédex and return the mysterious egg to Professor Elm. Once you meet those requirements you may sync a Pokéwalker to your game.
Complete these steps
- Start the game on the Nintendo DS.
- Select Connect to Pokéwalker from the Main Menu.
- Now select Save, then go for a Stroll.
- This option will only appear the first time you link your Pokéwalker. After linking you will see Go for a Stroll, Return from a Stroll, or Receive a Gift.
- After saving, you will be asked to select a Pokémon from your PC boxes to take for a stroll. Once selected, tap Yes to confirm.
- Next, you will choose the route you want your Pokémon to stroll on. Once selected, tap Yes to confirm.
- Place the Pokéwalker and the Game Card about two inches apart, facing each other.
- When prompted by the game, press the large center button on your Pokéwalker to begin the transfer.
- After the first transfer is complete the Pokéwalker will be synced to that game card.
