Problems Coming out of or Stuck in Sleep Mode
The information in this article can help you when:
- The system won't turn on, but the power light blinks blue.
- The system is open and the blue power light blinks but the screens remain blank.
Important: If the system is a Nintendo 2DS, ensure that the Sleep Mode switch is pushed all the way to the left. You should not see any orange color (this is displayed when the switch is turned on). If Sleep Mode was turned on, press the POWER Button to see if the issue is resolved.
What to do
- Press the POWER Button to turn on the system.
- If the system is on and the screens do not turn on, press and hold the POWER Button to turn it off first.
- If the system no longer turns on, you may have a charging issue. This is usually indicated by a red (solid or blinking) or no power LED.
- Perform a System Update.
- Close the system to test Sleep Mode and see if the system functions as intended.
