Download Code Is Lost or Missing - No Scratch-Off Area

Steps for when your prepaid card code is lost or missing and the card itself does not have a scratch-off area.

Information

If you have a card that does not have a scratch-off area on the back, your code was printed on your purchase receipt or emailed to you.

Locate the receipt you received when you made the purchase.
The download code is a 16-digit code that might be printed on the receipt you received from the retailer.
Check your email.
If you provided an e-mail address to the retailer when you bought the code, the retailer may have sent you an e-mail with a copy of your download code.
Check your current Nintendo eShop balance.
If you have already redeemed the code, your balance should reflect this.

  1. Select Nintendo eShop on the HOME Menu to launch the Nintendo eShop.
  2. Select the account you want to use.
  3. Select your user icon in the upper-right corner to access your Account Information.
  4. Review the Available Funds on the right.

  1. Go to the Nintendo Account website and sign in to your Nintendo Account.
  2. Select Funds and Payment Methods.
  3. Your current balance will appear in the "Nintendo eShop Funds" section.
Check with the retailer where you purchased the download code.
They may have a record of your purchase and be able to provide you with a new copy of the receipt.
