Steps for when your prepaid card code is lost or missing and the card itself does not have a scratch-off area.
Information
If you have a card that does not have a scratch-off area on the back, your code was printed on your purchase receipt or emailed to you.
What to do
- Locate the receipt you received when you made the purchase.
The download code is a 16-digit code that might be printed on the receipt you received from the retailer.
- Check your email.
If you provided an e-mail address to the retailer when you bought the code, the retailer may have sent you an e-mail with a copy of your download code.
- Check your current Nintendo eShop balance.
If you have already redeemed the code, your balance should reflect this.

- Select Nintendo eShop on the HOME Menu to launch the Nintendo eShop.
- Select the account you want to use.
- Select your user icon in the upper-right corner to access your Account Information.
- Review the Available Funds on the right.

- Select Funds and Payment Methods.
- Your current balance will appear in the "Nintendo eShop Funds" section.
