How to Manually Enter DNS Settings on Wii

In this article, you'll learn how to manually enter DNS information into a Wii connection file.

Note: The following steps use a public DNS provided by Google which is subject to Google’s Terms of Service.

Complete these steps

From the Wii menu, select the Wii (circle) icon from the bottom left corner.
Select Wii settings.
Using the Arrow Button on the right side of the screen, move over to the second screen.
Select Internet, followed by Connection Settings.
Select the connection file you wish to edit and then select Change Settings.
Select the Arrow Button on the right three times to reach Auto Obtain DNS.
Select No followed by Advanced Settings.
Select the Primary DNS. And enter 8.8.8.8 followed by OK.
- With this and all following entries, make sure to include the periods between each number.
Select the Secondary DNS. And enter 8.8.4.4 followed by OK.
Select Confirm, Save, and hit OK to test the connection.
