How to Stop SpotPass Notifications

In this article, you'll learn how to stop receiving notifications via SpotPass.
Note
- As of April 8, 2024, SpotPass and other functionality that uses online communication has ended for Nintendo 3DS family software.
- Game or application related SpotPass notifications may need to be managed individually. For Information on a specific game or application's SpotPass settings, refer to the software manual.
Complete these steps
- Select the System Settings icon on the HOME Menu, and tap Open.
- Select Parental Controls from the System Settings menu, and tap Change.
- Input the PIN that was created during the initial set-up and tap OK.
- If Parental Controls have not been set up, the initial settings will need to be entered.
- Tap Set Restrictions and then select Online Interaction.
- Tap Restrict and then OK.
- Notifications from Nintendo will still appear even with this restriction set.
- Tap Done and then Back to save the changes and exit Parental Controls.
