Error Code: 2811-6001

Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite, Nintendo Switch - OLED Model

Information to help you when you are attempting to purchase or download software from Nintendo eShop and error code 2811-6001 is displayed, or you receive the error message "Software currently unavailable."

What to do

  1. Check that the game or DLC has been released in the Americas. You can search for the software on Nintendo Store.
    • Game or DLC has not been released in the Americas

      If previously announced software is not yet available in Nintendo eShop, wait for the release time and date, then try downloading the software again.

      If the game was not announced for release in the Americas, it will not be available for download.

  2. Try to download the software at a later time.

      1. Search for the game you want to purchase, and select it to reach the game details page.
        • Any DLC or In-Game Items associated with the game will also be available through the game details page. Select the individual DLC/item from the game details to proceed with purchasing it.
      2. Select Continue. One of several different options will appear, depending on the game and your funds balance.
      3. Review the items, then select Confirm Purchase to buy them. The download will begin automatically and you can check the download status on the HOME Menu.
        • If the item displays "Virtual Game Cards" or "Hidden Software", then this indicates you have already purchased the item with this Nintendo Account. Learn more about downloading an item that is already purchased.

      1. Locate the game you want to purchase, and select it to reach the game details page.
      2. Select Proceed to Purchase. One of several different options will appear, depending on the game and your funds balance.
      3. Review the items, then select Confirm Purchase to buy them. The download will begin automatically, and you can check the download status on the HOME Menu.

  3. If you are receiving this error code when attempting to purchase DLC, try making the purchase through Nintendo eShop instead of through the game itself, and vice versa, if possible.

  • It is possible to receive News about games from different regions on Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch.
  • An error may be displayed when attempting to download software from another region's Nintendo eShop.
