How to Update Flipnote Studio 3D

Note
- Save data will still be available for use after downloading the update.
- After downloading the update, please do not delete the update data. Update data can be viewed in the "Downloadable Content" area of the Data Management menu.
- As of April 8, 2024, online play and other functionality that uses online communication has ended for Nintendo 3DS family software.
On September 12, 2017, new update data for Flipnote Studio 3D became available. Please take a moment to download and install this update while your Nintendo 3DS family system is connected to the Internet.
Complete these steps
- Ensure your system is connected to the Internet.
- Perform a system update to ensure you have the most up-to-date version.
- Launch the Nintendo eShop, then select Settings / Other.
- Select Redownloadable Software, then click Your Downloads in the lower-right corner.
- Locate Flipnote Studio 3D in the list, and click Update twice to download the update.
- Once the download is complete, the update will automatically be applied. The newest version number will be displayed on the title screen.
