How to Delete a Wii Shop Channel Account

In this article, you'll learn how to remove the Wii Shop Channel account.
Important
- The Wii Shop Channel should be removed and the Wii console's system memory formatted prior to selling or otherwise transferring your Wii console to any third party.
- Once removed, all downloaded content (games, channels, etc.) and transaction history on the Wii Shop Channel will be deleted and cannot be retrieved.
Complete these steps
- Access the Wii Shop Channel.
- Select Settings from the list of options.
- Select Remove Wii Shop Channel Account.
- Enter the Wii console's Serial Number using the Wii Keyboard, and select OK.
- If Parental Controls are on, the PIN will need to be entered.
- Select OK to remove the Wii Shop Channel account.
- Select Wii Menu to return to the Wii Main Menu. The account will now be removed.
