How to Delete Credit Card Information from a Nintendo Account

Steps for removing credit card information stored in your Nintendo Account, either through Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch or through your profile settings on the Nintendo Account website.

Where do you want to delete the credit card information?

  • Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch 2 or Nintendo Switch
    1. Select Nintendo eShop on the HOME Menu to launch Nintendo eShop.
    2. Select the Nintendo Account with the credit card information you want to delete.
    3. Select the picture of your icon in the upper-right corner to access your Account Information.
    4. Under "Credit Card Information", click DeleteBorrarEffacerApagar where the name, last four digits, and expiration for the saved credit card appears.
      • If a credit card has not been stored on your account, the Credit Card area will say “Not saved”.
    5. Click DeleteBorrarEffacerApagar again to confirm.
  • Account Home website
    1. Visit the Account Home website and sign in to your Nintendo Account.
    2. Scroll down and select Funds and Payment Methods.
    3. In the "Credit Card" section, select Manage payment methods.
    4. Click DeleteBorrarEffacerApagar where the name, last four digits, and expiration for the saved credit card appears.
      • The Credit Card area will say “No saved credit card information available” if a credit card has not been stored on your account. This means that credit card information is also not saved in Nintendo eShop.
    5. Click DeleteBorrarEffacerApagar again to confirm.

Additional information

Users under 18 cannot save credit card information.
