Service Discontinuation: Nintendo DSi Shop (updated 3/31/17)
On March 31, 2017 we closed the Nintendo DSi Shop after being available on Nintendo DSi and Nintendo DSi XL systems since April 2009. We sincerely thank our loyal customers for supporting the shop and wish to ensure they can continue to enjoy DSiWare.
This closure means that users can no longer make purchases in the Nintendo DSi Shop. However, it is still possible to access the Nintendo DSi Shop for a limited time to do the following:
- Download the Nintendo DSi Transfer Tool, which will allow you to transfer content to a Nintendo 3DS family system
- Redownload any game you had originally purchased in the Nintendo DSi Shop, provided the game was still available in the shop as of March 31st, 2017.
If you have DSiWare you'd like to transfer from a Nintendo DSi or Nintendo DSi XL system to a Nintendo 3DS family system, we encourage you to do so at your earliest convenience, while the service is still available.
Note that most DSiWare will continue to be sold in the Nintendo eShop on systems in the Nintendo 3DS family.

Key Dates:
April 1, 2016: The day it was announced that the Nintendo DSi Shop would close in 2017.
September 30, 2016: The last day to have purchased points in the Nintendo DSi Shop or redeem Nintendo DSi Points Cards in the Nintendo DSi Shop.
March 31, 2017: The last day to have purchased software in the Nintendo DSi Shop.
