How to Change the Wii Security Type to WPA2-PSK (AES)

In this article, you'll learn how to change the Wii console's security type setting to WPA2-PSK (AES).

Complete these steps

From the Wii Menu, use the Wii Remote to select the Wii button.
Select Wii Settings to access the Wii System Settings menu.
Using the arrow on the right side of the screen, move over to the second page and select Internet.
Select Connection Settings.
Select the connection file you wish to edit and then select Change Settings.
Using the arrow on the right side of the screen, move over to the second page (Type of Security).
Select WPA2 - PSK (AES).
Select the white box that appears and then use the onscreen keyboard to enter your wireless network's password and select OK when complete.
Select Save, and then OK to start a connection test.
