  1. Are you using a Gift Card or a Credit Card?

  2. Check the instructions that came with the gift card for information about how to enter the billing address. Some cards require that you use a pre-designated city, state, zip code, and county; while others require that you enter your own billing address information on their website.

    Gift cards issued in one country may not work if the system is set to a different country.

    If the system was purchased in North America and you are using an overseas credit card, you will not be able to make purchases on the system. The billing address must be located in the country to which the system has been set.

    If the system was purchased overseas, the billing address country must match the system country setting. The country must also have a Nintendo eShop. For additional information about systems purchased outside of North America, please visit the Nintendo website for your region.
