How Do I Transfer the Content from One Nintendo System to Another?
The ability to transfer content from one Nintendo console to another is possible in most situations. How this can be done depends on which console, and whether or not the original console is in working order. Note, however, that it is not possible to go chronologically backwards in terms of console generations, such as transferring data from a Nintendo Switch 2 to a Nintendo Switch.
Self-Service Options
If the original console is available and it is in working condition, there are self-service options that can be used to transfer the content from one console to another for the following situations:
- Nintendo Switch to Nintendo Switch 2
- Nintendo Switch to Nintendo Switch
- Wii U to Wii U
- Wii to Wii U
- Between Nintendo 3DS Family Systems
- Nintendo DSi to Nintendo 3DS Family Systems
