How to Use amiibo Figures (Super Mario Galaxy / Super Mario Galaxy 2)

Follow these steps to scan amiibo in Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2 on Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch.

You can scan the Mario and Luma amiibo to grant a Life Mushroom, and the Rosalina and Lumas amiibo to grant a 1-Up Mushroom. Other amiibo can be scanned to provide a coin.
Complete these steps
- Press the + Button to open the menu.
- Select amiibo.
- Touch the amiibo to the NFC touchpoint.
- On the Joy-Con 2, the NFC touchpoint is located on the right control stick.
- On the Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller, the NFC touchpoint is located over the Nintendo Switch 2 logo at the top-center of the controller.
- On the Joy-Con, the NFC touchpoint is located on the right control stick.
- Note: Joy-Con controllers can only be used wirelessly with Nintendo Switch 2.
- On the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller, the NFC touchpoint is located over the Nintendo Switch logo at the top-center of the controller.
- Note: The NFC touchpoint on Nintendo Switch Pro Controllers are turned off when using a wired connection.
- On the Joy-Con 2, the NFC touchpoint is located on the right control stick.
- The item or coin will appear in-game.
