How to Change Notification Settings on Nintendo Switch 2

Follow these steps to adjust the notification settings on Nintendo Switch 2.

Complete these steps

  1. From the HOME Menu, select System Settings. The System Settings icon highlighted on the HOME Menu on Nintendo Switch 2
  2. Scroll down the options on the left-hand side and select Notifications. The Notifications option highlighted on the System Settings screen on Nintendo Switch 2
  3. You can change the following options:
    • Notifications for Completed Downloads

      Toggle on to be notified when a software application has finished downloading.

    • Friend Notifications

      Toggle notifications for friend requests, when friends come online, online play invites, and GameChat invites.

      You can also select whether to receive online user and online play invite notifications from all friends, only best friends, or none.

    • Nintendo Switch Online Notifications

      Toggle on to be notified when you have Platinum Points available to collect.

    • Alarm Notifications

      Adjust notifications you receive based on a specific date and time of your choosing. Alarms must be set with compatible software.

    • Notification Sound

      Toggle on for notifications to play a sound, or toggle off for them to appear silently.
