Follow these steps to access the software menu for a game or application on Nintendo Switch 2.
Before you start
To ensure you have the latest options and features, be sure to install the latest system update.

How to check for the latest system update
- Select System Settings on the HOME Menu.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the System Settings menu and select System.
- Select System Update to start the system update process.
- The system will check to see if an update is available.

Complete these steps
- From the HOME Menu, highlight the icon for a game or application.
- Press the - Button or + Button to access the software menu.
- Depending on the software application, one or more of the following options will be displayed:
- Software Information: This includes information related to the Software Type, Nintendo eShop, Support Information, Important Information, and Intellectual Property Notices.
- Software Update: Allows you to download available software updates over the internet or by matching version with local users.
- Software Data: Transfer your save data or delete downloadable software.
- Save Data Cloud: Back up your game progress online.
