User Nickname Is Displayed as Question Marks (???) on Nintendo Switch 2

Steps for when the nickname from a User profile on Nintendo Switch 2 is displayed as question marks or you receive one of the following messages while starting or resuming software:
- One or more nicknames cannot be used and will now appear as "???"
- The "???" nickname can be changed on the player’s user page.
- This nickname cannot be used.
Information
Your nickname will display as "???" if it contains inappropriate, harmful, or otherwise unaccepted words.
The nickname may also occasionally display as "???" after you receive your console back from service.
What to do
Change the User nickname in the User Profile Settings.
- Please keep in mind our Community Guidelines when choosing a new User nickname.
- Some games also feature unique usernames that must be changed within the game.
