TV Output LED on the Nintendo Switch 2 Dock is Flashing

What to do

1. Undock your Nintendo Switch 2 console.
2. Check that your console has the latest system update installed.

     1. Select the System Settings on the HOME Menu.
        
        
        
        
     2. Scroll down through the System Settings menu and select System.
     3. Select System Update, to start the system update process.
        
        
        
        
        • During the process, the system will first perform a check to determine if a new system update is available.
        • If an update is available, the download process will begin automatically.
3. Restart the console.

     1. Press and hold the POWER Button for at least three seconds.

     3. Select Restart.
   • The console does not respond

     Hold down the POWER Button for 20 seconds to force it to shut down, then power on the console again.

4. Update the firmware for the dock.

     1. Install the latest system update.
     2. Select System Settings on the HOME Menu.
     3. Click System.
     4. Select Dock Update to check for updates to the Nintendo Switch 2 dock firmware and begin any updates.
        • If the update stops before it can be completed, try this step again.

5. Unplug the HDMI cable from the dock.
6. Unplug the AC adapter from the wall outlet and unplug the USB-C charging cable from the dock and the AC plug. Leave them unplugged for thirty seconds.
7. Check that you’re using an undamaged Nintendo Switch 2 AC adapter.
   • How to check the AC adapter

     Non-licensed and/or damaged AC adapters may have compatibility problems with your console.

     1. Check the model number to verify you are using the Nintendo Switch 2 AC adapter. The model number can be found on the bottom of the AC adapter. It should read MOD. NGN-01 near the top of the text.
        
     2. Check for any damage to the USB-C cable (fraying, kinks, knots, etc.) or the AC plug. If either part of the AC adapter is damaged, it will need to be replaced.

     You can purchase replacement Nintendo Switch 2 AC adapters from Nintendo Store.

8. Verify you are using the Nintendo Switch 2 dock (model No. BEE-005).
   • A different accessory or dock is being used
     • If a different accessory is being used, replacing it with the licensed dock may resolve the problem.
9. Plug the USB-C cable back into the AC plug, the AC plug back into the outlet, then plug the USB-C cable into the dock.
10. Connect the HDMI cable back into the dock. Make sure the other end is connected to a TV/monitor.
11. Power on the console and place it in the dock. The console screen should face the same direction as the front panel of the dock.
    • LED continues to flash

      If the TV output LED continues to flash when the console is docked, try testing the console with another dock if possible.

      If the issue is resolved by using a second dock, only the problematic dock will need to be serviced. For issues with the dock only, please contact us.
