How to Report Another User During Nintendo Switch App Voice Chat

Follow these steps to report another player who violates our Community Guidelines during voice chat in the Nintendo Switch App for smart devices.

What to do

  1. In the Nintendo Switch App, select the user from the voice chat lobby you would like to report.
  2. Select Report.
  3. Select the report category: Disclosure of personal information, violent content, inappropriate/harmful, hateful/bullying, advertising, sexually explicit, or other.
  4. Enter a description for the report, up to 400 characters long.
  5. Once all the information is filled out, select Report.

Additional information

  • After reporting the user, you may also want to block them on your Nintendo Switch 2 or Nintendo Switch console.

      2. From this screen, select Search for Users You Played With to view a list of users you have matched with online or played together with in GameChat. Browse this list to find the appropriate user.
        • If you are unsure which listed user you want to block, you can select users to find out what software and date you played together.
      3. Once you have identified the appropriate user, select BlockBloquearBloquerBloquear, then select BlockBloquearBloquerBloquear again to confirm.
        • Blocked users cannot send you friend requests, you will be unable to join a GameChat room with them, and you will not be matched with them during online play. Note that this block may not apply to all games or game modes.
        • If you would like to unblock the user, you can go to User Settings and select Manage Blocked-User List to find their profile.

      2. From this screen, select Search for Users You Played With to view a list of users you have matched with. Browse this list to find the appropriate user.

  • You can also mute the other player. When you select the user from the voice chat lobby, select Mute.
