How to Change the Sleep Mode Settings on Nintendo Switch 2
Follow these steps to configure the Sleep Mode settings on a Nintendo Switch 2 console.
Complete these steps
- Select System Settings on the HOME Menu.
- Scroll down the options on the left and select Sleep Mode.
- The following options can be configured:
- Auto-Sleep (Playing on System Screen)
While in Handheld mode or Tabletop mode, the system will enter sleep mode after a set period of inactivity. This time can be set to 1, 3, 5, 10, or 30 minutes. To disable Auto-Sleep while using the console screen, select Never.
- Auto-Sleep (Connected to TV)
While in TV Mode, the console will enter sleep mode after a set period of inactivity. This time can be set to 15 minutes, 1, 2, 3, 6, or 12 hours. To disable Auto-Sleep while using the console in TV mode, select Never.
- Auto-Sleep (Playing Media Content)
When this setting is toggled on, auto-sleep can interrupt media after the system has been idle for four hours.
- Play Wake-Up Sound in TV Mode
Select the volume that the wake-up sound plays when using the system in TV Mode. Can be set to Loud, Normal, Quiet, or None.
- Keep Wired Connection Active in Sleep Mode
When this setting is toggled on, allows the system to begin downloads right away when you start them from a PC or smart device, even when the system is in sleep mode. Can be turned off to reduce energy consumption while the system is in sleep mode and connected to the internet. The system must also have a wired connection set up for this setting to have an effect.
- Wake When AC Adapter Is Disconnected
If this option is toggled on, the console will wake from sleep mode when it is removed from the dock, or when the AC adapter is connected/disconnected.
