How to Calibrate the Controllers on Nintendo Switch 2

Complete these steps

• How to calibrate the Control Sticks
  1. Check that your console has the latest system update.

       1. Select System Settings on the HOME Menu.
       2. Scroll down to the bottom of the System Settings menu and select System.
       3. Select System Update to start the system update process.
          • The system will check to see if an update is available.

  2. Select System Settings from the HOME Menu.
  3. Select Controllers & Accessories.
  4. Select Calibrate Control Sticks then fully tilt the control stick in any single direction for a few seconds on the controller you want to calibrate.
  5. Follow the on-screen prompts to verify the control stick functionality.
  6. If the calibration is complete but is not immediately reflected when testing the control sticks, do the following:
     • Set the console to sleep mode, then press the POWER Button to wake it up again.
     • Reset the controller by pressing the SYNC Button once, then press any other button to power it on again.
       • Where is the SYNC Button?
         • On Joy-Con 2 (R), it is next to the SL Button, and on Joy-Con 2 (L), it is next to the SR Button.
         • On the Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller and GameCube Controller, it is next to the USB-C port.
         • On the Nintendo 64 Controller, it is next to the Player LED.
• How to calibrate the Motion Controls

  Important: In order to calibrate the motion controls on Joy-Con 2, the controllers must be detached from the Nintendo Switch 2 console.

  1. Remove any straps or accessories attached to the controller.
  2. Check that your console has the latest system update.

       1. Select System Settings on the HOME Menu.
       2. Scroll down to the bottom of the System Settings menu and select System.
       3. Select System Update to start the system update process.
          • The system will check to see if an update is available.

  3. Select System Settings from the HOME Menu.
  4. Select Controllers & Accessories.
  5. Select Calibrate Motion Controls, then Calibrate Controllers.
  6. Hold down the - or + Button on the controller you want to calibrate.
  7. Place the controller with the stick facing upward on a flat, stable surface and wait for a moment.
  8. Once the calibration is complete, select OK.
