Use this article when a Nintendo GameCube™ Controller Adapter is plugged in to the Nintendo Switch and GameCube Controller(s) plugged in to the adapter aren't useable.

We are aware of an issue with the Nintendo GameCube Controller Adapter and GameCube Controller(s) not being recognized after installing system version 19.0.0. If you are experiencing this issue, please follow the steps below.
What to do
Update your system to the latest system version.

How to update to the latest system version
- Select System Settings on the HOME Menu.

- Scroll down to the bottom of the System Settings menu and select System.
- Select System Update.

- If an update is available, it will begin to download.

- Select System Settings on the HOME Menu.
Situation not resolved
Confirm that your Adapter and Controller(s) are licensed accessories. If your accessory is unlicensed, a licensed replacement may resolve the issue.
