Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo

Steps on setting up your Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo device for the first time.

Before you start

  • An AC adapter is not included in the box, but is required to use Alarmo.
    • The AC adapter should be a USB Type-A to C and capable of supplying at least 5V/1.5A/7.5W of power.
    • If you need to purchase an AC adapter, they are available at Nintendo Store.
  • Alarmo uses a motion sensor in most Modes to detect movement when waking up. Make sure you have a sturdy place to set up your device that has an unobstructed view of where the person using the device sleeps.

Complete these steps

  1. Place your Alarmo on a flat surface so the sensor zone has visibility to where the user will be sleeping, such as next to the bed and near a wall outlet for power.
    • You will indicate where you’ve placed Alarmo in relation to the bed during setup.
    • The device should be within 20in/50cm from the edge of the bed Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo within 20in/50cm of bed and no higher than 8in/20cm above the bed. Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo no higher than 8in/20cm above bed
  2. Connect the included USB-C cable into the USB connector on the bottom of Alarmo.
  3. Connect the USB-C cable into the wall outlet using a USB Power Adapter (sold separately).
  4. Follow the on-screen prompts and use the dial and Confirm Button on top of the device to complete the following for first-time setup. Turn the dial on Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo Press the Confirm Button on Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo
    1. Language, Region, Time Zone, and Date
    2. Time
    3. Alarmo’s Sensor Zone. This will require you to have Alarmo placed on a flat surface, and you will be given movement prompts to calibrate the motion sensor.
    4. Set Alarm Scene and Mode
    5. Set Alarm Time

Additional information

After setup, you can reconfigure all the initial setup settings on the Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo from "Redo Initial Setup" in the Help menu.
