With the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass, you’ll be able to race on 48 newly-added remastered courses. Courses include those based on real-world locations like Paris Promenade and Tokyo Blur from the Mario Kart Tour game in addition to nostalgic favorites like N64 Choco Mountain and Wii Coconut Mall! Some waves also include additional playable characters.

When can I race on courses from the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - Booster Course Pass?

All content included with the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - Booster Course Pass is now available. Content was released in six waves of eight courses from March 18, 2022 until the final wave on November 8, 2023.

Can I play the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - Booster Course Pass content if I don’t have the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe game?

The full Mario Kart 8 Deluxe game is needed to play Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass, which is sold separately.

How can I get access to the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - Booster Course Pass in order to play the content?

Beginning March 18, 2022, users can either purchase Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass in Nintendo eShop for $24.99, or download it at no additional cost with a paid Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership.

No matter how the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass is downloaded, the content from all six waves is included.

What are the differences between the two methods of getting the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - Booster Course Pass?

Players who purchase the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass DLC can play it indefinitely. For members of Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, it is possible to play the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass content for the duration of an active membership.

If you do not renew your membership for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, it’s not possible to play the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass content unless it has been purchased separately or you begin a new Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership.

The save data for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is stored on the console, so after becoming a member of Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack again (or purchasing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass separately), it is possible to continue playing where players left off.

Can other users on the same Nintendo Switch 2 or Nintendo Switch console play the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - Booster Course Pass content if I’m the only Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack member?

If you have a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack Individual Membership, the account with the membership must launch the game in order to play the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - Booster Course Pass content. An internet connection may be required when launching the game to verify your Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership and access the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - Booster Course Pass content. After launching the game with the correct account, the courses will be available to play in local multiplayer modes with other users on the same console.

With a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack Family Membership, all accounts that are part of the Family Group can play Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - Booster Course Pass content for the duration of their membership. To access the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - Booster Course Pass content, an internet connection may be required when launching the game to verify your Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership.

If the DLC is purchased separately, other users on the same console can also play the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - Booster Course Pass content when the virtual game card for the DLC is loaded on the console. On any other console, it can only be played using the account that purchased it if they have enabled the Online License setting.

Can I play courses included on the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - Booster Course Pass online even if I haven't purchased the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - Booster Course Pass and I am not a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack member?

As long as at least one of the players you are matched with online has access to the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - Booster Course Pass, it is possible to play on one of the included courses if players vote for it.

A Nintendo Switch Online membership (sold separately) is required to play online, and your Mario Kart 8 Deluxe game must be updated to the latest software version.
