Steps for charging the SEGA Genesis Control Pad for use with Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch consoles.

The SEGA Genesis Control Pad can be charged in the following ways:
While connected directly to the AC adapter.
Connect the Nintendo Switch 2 AC adapter (model No. NGN-01) or Nintendo Switch AC adapter (model No. HAC-002) to the USB connector at the top of the SEGA Genesis Control Pad, and then to a wall outlet.
While connected to the dock.
- Connect the Nintendo Switch 2 or Nintendo Switch AC adapter to the dock and then to a wall outlet. The console does not need to be docked.
- The Nintendo Switch 2 AC adapter should be used with the Nintendo Switch 2 dock. Due to differing power outputs, the Nintendo Switch AC adapter does not provide enough power to use the Nintendo Switch 2 dock.
- Connect the USB charging cable to an available USB port on the dock, then to the USB connector at the top of the SEGA Genesis Control Pad.
Additional information
- It takes approximately 3.5 hours to fully charge a SEGA Genesis Control Pad.
- Once the SEGA Genesis Control Pad is fully charged, the recharge LED beside the USB connector will shut off.
- The SEGA Genesis Control Pad can also be charged by connecting it to a licensed accessory, such as the Dual USB PlayStand for Nintendo Switch Lite from HORI.
