How to Start a Local or Online Multiplayer Game (Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics)
Follow these steps to play together with other players in Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics.
Note: The games available to play will vary depending on how many players you have and which method of multiplayer you use.
Before you start
- A Nintendo Switch Online membership is required to play online.
- To host a multiplayer game using GameShare, you must play on a Nintendo Switch 2 system.
- Make sure everyone playing with their own copy of the game has updated their software to the latest version.

How to update game software
- Ensure the console is connected to the Internet.
- From the HOME Menu, select (but do not start) the icon for the software you wish to update.
- Press the + Button or – Button on your controller, then select Software Update followed by Via the Internet.

- If this is your first time playing the game, you will need to follow the prompts to create a figurine before you can select options other than Single System.

Share the Controllers (local, single-system play)
- Start Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics from the HOME menu.
- Select Single System, then the number of players.
- You may be prompted to connect additional controllers depending on the number of players.
- If you select two players, you'll also select whether to use Joy-Con or Touch controls.
- Pick a game to play, and then get started! Games that are not available to play with the number of players or control option you selected will be grayed out.

Local Wireless Play (multiple systems, at least one copy of the game)
You can play Local Play with up to 3 other players who have a Nintendo Switch 2 or Nintendo Switch system and either the Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics game or the Clubhouse Games Guest Pass demo software.
- One player will be the host. The host can start a Local Play Lobby.
Important: When playing with users who own Clubhouse Games Guest Pass, the host must be a player that owns the full Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics software.
- Start Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics from the HOME menu.
- From the game menu, select Local Play.
- Select Local Communication to play a multiplayer game wirelessly or select Mosaic Mode to play a game across multiple consoles.
- Due differing screen sizes, the play experience of Mosaic Mode may change when playing with a combination of different types of systems.
- Select Create a Lobby.
- Up to three players with Clubhouse Games Guest Pass or another copy of Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics can join the lobby.
- Start Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics or Clubhouse Games Guest Pass from the HOME menu.
- From the game menu, select Local Play.
- Select Local Communication to play a multiplayer game wirelessly or select Mosaic Mode to play a game across multiple Nintendo Switch screens.
- Select Choose a Lobby.
- Select the lobby opened by the nearby player.
- Once all players have joined the lobby, have the hosting player select Confirm. All players will participate in any game the host selects.
- One player will be the host. The host can start a Local Play Lobby.

Online Play (multiple systems, multiple games)
Online Play can be played with friends you have registered from your Nintendo Account or with anyone in the world.

GameShare + Local Play (local wireless play with multiple systems)
To host the GameShare session
Perform the following steps on a Nintendo Switch 2 console with a copy of the game:
- Start Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics from the HOME menu.
- From the game menu, select GameShare.
- Select Play with Local Users, then select the number of players.
- Wait for the other players to join using the steps below. Once the other players have joined, select Start.
- Pick a game to play, and then get started! Games that are not available to play with the number of players you selected will be grayed out.
- Once you're done playing, you can finish the GameShare session by returning to the title menu.
To join the GameShare session
Perform the following steps on either a Nintendo Switch 2 or Nintendo Switch console:
- Select the GameShare icon on the HOME Menu.
- Select Join GameShare.
- Select A Local User.
- Select the user you want to join the GameShare session with.
- The console will search for nearby sessions you can join. Once you’ve found the session you want, select Join GameShare.
- Wait for the host to start the session, and then play together!
- If you'd like to end the GameShare session from your end, press the HOME Button and select Close.

GameShare + GameChat (online play with multiple Nintendo Switch 2 systems)
All users who want to play the game together must first join a GameChat room. The person who creates the room does not need to be the person who hosts the GameShare session.
To host the GameShare session
- Start Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics from the HOME menu.
- From the game menu, select GameShare.
- Select Via GameChat, then select the number of players.
- Select users in your GameChat room to invite to play with you.
- Wait for the other players to join using the steps below. Once the other players have joined, select Start.
- Pick a game to play, and then get started! Games that are not available to play with the number of players you selected will be grayed out.
- Once you're done playing, you can finish the GameShare session by returning to the title menu.
To join the GameShare session
- Once the host invites you, press the
C Button

to open the C Menu.
- On the right, select See Invites to GameShare.
- You can also view available GameShare sessions by selecting the GameShare icon on the HOME Menu, then selecting A User in a GameChat Session.
- Select Join GameShare.
- Wait for the host to start the session, and then play together!
- If you'd like to end the GameShare session from your end, press the HOME Button, then select the software icon and select End GameShare Session.
