How to Adjust VR Settings (Nintendo Labo Toy-Con 04: VR Kit)

In this article, you'll learn how to adjust or disable VR settings through the Toy-Con.

VR Mode should only be used by players age 7 and up. Please see Information About the VR Mode of Nintendo Labo Toy-Con 04: VR Kit for additional information about the VR feature.
Nintendo Labo is not compatible with Nintendo Switch 2 or Nintendo Switch Lite.

The selected VR Mode setting will apply for everyone who uses the Nintendo Switch console.
Nintendo Switch – OLED Model has a larger, 7-inch OLED screen which may impact the VR effect while using Toy-Con VR Goggles. When using VR Mode in Nintendo Labo: VR Kit, the image size on the screen is reduced to maintain the VR effect. Automatic detection to switch to VR Mode is not possible on Nintendo Switch – OLED Model, so the "VR Mode Auto-Switch" setting should be set to Off in Nintendo Labo: VR Kit.

Complete these steps

You can adjust the VR Mode feature the first time you launch the game, and at any point during gameplay through the game settings.

Launch the Nintendo Labo Toy-Con 04: VR Kit from the Nintendo Switch HOME Menu.
When prompted, choose the VR Set that you’re using.
When asked if you want to restrict VR mode, select Use VR Mode or Restrict VR Mode.

Launch the Nintendo Labo Toy-Con 04: VR Kit from the Nintendo Switch HOME Menu.
From the Main Menu, select the icon of VR Goggles in the lower-right hand corner.
Adjust the VR Settings as desired:
- VR Mode (3D Visuals): Select Enable to use the VR Mode or Restrict to disable it.
- VR Mode Auto-Switch: Select OnSíOuiSim to switch to VR Mode when using the Goggles, or Off to disable this feature.
- VR Mode Screen Brightness: Use the slider to adjust the screen brightness when using VR Mode.
If you have set up parental controls, enter your PIN when prompted.
Select OK! to save your settings and return to main menu.
